Bu dünya naylon (this world nylon) is music and illustration based calendar project which I did a year ago.
The name of the project comes from Hüsnü Arkan’s poem ‘Japon Yağmur’ and all months are categorized with songs which is related to the months. According to these songs and month ranking I did a short autobiographic story with my illustrations. I tried to give the feeling of words with material itself like; the first page I used acetate paper to give the feeling of ‘This world is nylon’ word and at the end I used transparent paper to give the feeling of ‘ I said but no one believed me, this world is nylon’. Overall in this project I emphasize how our world is empty and moving past. Our good or bad experiences make us who we are
